Matthew is a multi-generational product of Memphis, and as such has been carefully studied by sociologists for years. (Dissertations have been written about this guy.) After a stellar Briarcrest football career, Matt surprisingly failed to land any D-1 scholarship offers. Even more surprisingly, he was not adopted by Sandra Bullock. Instead Matt studied science stuff at University of Memphis, then took on a leadership role with the family business (Glenn Terhune Plumbing, a.k.a. “Hustle and Flow”). Matt is a terrifically talented and sought-after portrait artist. He is an elder at 2pc and teaches in the Emmaus Sunday School class. He and Grace, a schoolteacher at Christ Methodist Day School, have three children.
